Great Lakes Blackout Stout is a Russian Imperial Stout that is available as a winter seasonal. This beer is super smooth and very well balanced. Getting flavors of roasted malts with a pleasant sweetness, light roast coffee, mild licorice, and just enough hops on the finish. This didn’t feel like an RIS at first, but the alcohol kicked up a bit as the beer warmed. This was an excellent trade extra, and I would say a beer worth seeking out.
