Cigar City Brewing/The Bruery Dos Costas Oeste (Cedar Wood Aged)
Dos Costas Oeste (Cedar Wood Aged) is Saison/Farmhouse Ale collaboration between Cigar City Brewing and The Bruery. It’s an ale brewed with coriander, ginger and sweet orange peel, then aged on cedar spirals. So much amazing cedar on the nose. This seemed much sweeter than the other two Dos Costas Oeste variations. Cedar hits the palate first followed by sweet candied ginger, then some sweet orange, spices and floral notes. Things finish with some slightly funky Belgian yeast and a return to the cedar… that lingers forever. Seriously thirty minutes later I can still taste the cedar.
