Fort George Roses On Roses XVIth Chapel
Fort George Roses On Roses XVIth Chapel is a Belgian style IPA that’s aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels and conditioned using rose hips. Hence the clever name. This is the breweies 5th Anniversary beer. A nice caramel base that is always there but always in the background. Oak dryness, subtle vanilla, floral and spicy hop notes and just a hint of bourbon. A little bit of funkiness from the Belgian yeast rounds everything out nicely. The alcohol seems pretty well hidden for 9.2% ABV. There is a whole lot going on here, you really have to take your time to soak it all in.
