Mikkeller Beer Geek Brunch Weasel (Calvados Barrel Edition) is an American Style Imperial Stout. This variant is aged in Calvados apple brandy barrels. A quick blast of malty sweetness is followed by very dry roasted malts and just a hint of the coffee. The finish is really intense with flavors of cocoa, dry oak, brandy (taste and alcohol heat) and tobacco. This comes in a petite 8.5oz bottle and to be honest that is a pretty good amount to serve somebody. If you’re looking for a great value I’d skip this one, but if you’re looking for a great beer this is worth seeking out.
