Westbrook Covert Hops

Westbrook Covert Hops is an American Black Ale/IPA. Uh-oh that cap popped off with a little too much power… yup the giant head concludes this batch has some issues. It took me a good 20 minutes to get normal pour, let’s see how this is affecting the beer. Big roasted malts with a good bit of char. The hops are intense with pine and a ton of bitterness. Apart from testing my patience I don’t think the carbonation issues affected the beer too much. As it warmed things mellowed out and it became an enjoyable beer that I think tasted the way it was supposed to.
