Evil Twin Soft Dookie
Evil Twin Soft Dookie is an American Double/Imperial Stout. Roasted malts, root beer/cola, vanilla, chocolate, some caramel and a bit of alcohol heat (not in a bad way, it’s blending well). The finish brings back the chocolate but this time but more dry and bitter, along with more roasted malts. A bit syrupy in the mouth but it works for this beer. There is an expensive import price tag on this one, but the 10% ABV does an effective job of making you forget about that!
Update: I managed to find a bottle of this beer with the old label art, so I think it is about 2 -3 years old. Anyway here are my notes about the aged version: Much smoother mouth-feel, alcohol heat is gone, no root beer cola thing anymore either. The roastiness seems milder with a good bit of the vanilla, chocolate and caramel I remember from the newer/fresher bottle I had. This seems to be a great candidate for aging!
