The Bruery White Oak
The Bruery White Oak is an American Wheatwine that is 50% ale and 50% ale aged in bourbon barrels. This bottle has been aged 7 months. Lots of sweet wheat/malt is complimented by notes of bourbon, vanilla, oak and a hint of coconut. All of those notes kind of filter in and out with each sip, never quite in the same order. The carbonation is a bit high for a Wheatwine, but I really like how it is complimenting the flavors in this beer. At 11.5% there is no alcohol heat at all, and that is making this an amazing “last round” kind of sipper.
