The Bruery Coton
The Bruery Coton is anĀ Old Ale. Bottle number 05952, this was their 2nd anniversary ale released in 2010 (aged 2 years). It is 75% ale and 25% ale aged in bourbon barrels. I found this still on the shelf in Florida in the summer of 2012, not sure if it was stored properly but it sure tasted amazing. Sweet and malty, after two years any of the rough edges of this 14.5% ABV beer have certainly been dulled. The bourbon has faded but I am still getting some of the barrel itself. Notes of oak, vanilla and plums. Old Ales are by no means my favorite style so I might not be the best judge, but I thought this was drinking great at 2 years old. I would imagine this will continue to develop nicely for many more years.
