Odell The Meddler
Odell The Meddler is a Flanders Oud Bruin. From the website: …comprised of several generations of brown ales, barrel aged and blended. Wild yeasts, Lactobacillus, and Brettanomyces meddle with the brew for over 18 months… The wild yeast are making this nicely sour and funky from the start. This segue-ways into a strong vanilla/oak flavor clearly from the barrel aging. The finish is straight sour and slightly earthy. This is an interesting and fairly complex sour, it could have used a little more age I think, but I can’t store all these beers forever!
