Heavy Seas The Big DIPA (Uncharted Waters Series)

Heavy Seas The Big DIPA is an American Imperial/Double IPA. This DIPA has been revived in 2013 for the new Uncharted Waters series. Aged with oak spirals, this DIPA is big on the oak and vanilla flavors. I am also getting a good bit of caramel malt as well. I was very surprised by a strong spiciness, which is not necessarily from the hops either, those are creating a big earthy bitterness. I am really enjoying this, and you can’t beat the price for the 22oz bottle.
