Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot

Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot is an English Style Barleywine that is available year round. I am not totally sure how old this bottle is, but it is a bottle with the older artwork on it. It definitely has some amount of age on it. Getting flavors of prunes, maple syrup, brown sugar, candy apples. At this point the hops have seemingly disappeared from the beer. I am enjoying this a lot more than the first time I had it a few years ago, that was before I knew much about Barleywines or aging beer.  I might just try and find a few more of these tasty “pre-aged” bottles with the old labels if I can.
