Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout 2012

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout is an American Double/Imperial Stout. This bottle was bottled on 11/12/12 and enjoyed about 5 months after that. This is drinking very much like the original to me, but it is somehow it is even smoother and has a much milder bourbon taste. I am getting all of the same complex flavors of the original, slightly modified. Tasting dark chocolate, caramel/toffee, bourbon (but milder than BBCS), vanilla, oak, molasses, roasted malts, and a slight touch of licorice. What seems oddly mild and hidden in the background is the coffee. Regardless there is enough difference between this and the original to cause someone to seek it out. I have no regrets trading what I did for this, it is utterly amazing!
