Volcano Brewing Co. Witch’s Rock Pale Ale

Costa Rica Week continues with Volcano Brewing Co.’s Witch’s Rock Pale Ale.

Pale ale’s seem to be a perfect gateway beer for cerveza drinkers looking to expand their palettes a bit. Volcano Brewing Co. saw that opportunity and introduced an easy to drink, sessionable pale ale with a simple, sweet malt profile.

The hops add a bit of bittering and aroma; but this beer is much more about the overall taste than its individual components.  As a gateway beer, it succeeds admirably, forming an easy to follow bridge from the traditional Costa Rican lagers to IPAs and beyond.
