Thirsty Dog Siberian Night – Bourbon Barrel Aged

Thirsty Dog Siberian Night – Bourbon Barrel Aged is a Russian Imperial Stout. Sweet vanilla and hints of bourbon upfront make the taste buds jump up and take notice. Some dark fruit and a bit of chocolate lingers in the background. This barrel aging unfortunately mutes just about all of the roast and coffee notes of the base beer. I wouldn’t go as far as to call this a disappointment, but it kind of gets lost in a sea of bourbon barrel stouts. The kind of beer I wouldn’t trade for, but would certainly buy this again given the chance.
