The Bruery Rueuze
From the bottle: Our take on a gueuze-style ale, this intensely tart and funky beer combines three different vintages of our barrel aged sour blonde ale. The Bruery Rueuze is definitely a step two kind of sour ale. Not totally extreme, but I wouldn’t try to jumping into the style with this beer. It’s tart and sour, yet still very drinkable and approachable. A light sweetness, a little funk and some very nice notes from the oak barrel come out as the beer warms. Best in the mid temperature range (not too cold, not too warm), I would pick this up again without hesitation, especially since this was moderately priced… well at least for a beer from The Bruery.
