BDR Direct: How to Get Our Updates Everywhere
First of all, thank you for reading Brew / Drink / Run. We have a lot of fun putting this website together and supplying you with fresh content every day. If you want to make sure you never miss a craft beer review, article or podcast episode, here’s how to get our updates into your eyeballs.
Facebook is our most popular referrer. However, they’re constantly changing how their News Feed algorithm displays updates. To make sure you never miss a post in your Facebook stream, go to our Facebook page and click “Like.” Then, hover over that “Liked” box and select “All Updates.”
You can get our Twitter updates sent to your phone via text message. To do that, first add your phone number to your Twitter account. Then, go to your mobile settings page and choose to receive text notifications from people you’ve enabled for mobile notifications. Finally, go to our Twitter profile page, click the person icon and choose “Turn on Mobile Notifications.” Here’s the complete step-by-step guide from Twitter.
Every afternoon at 4PM we send out an email with links to that day’s beer reviews and articles. We call it Beer Mail. Sign up here.
Back in the early days of blogging, RSS feeds were the easiest way to keep track of new posts. If you kick it old school, subscribe to our RSS feed.
We always promote our podcasts through the methods mentioned above; but if you want to auto download it to your computer as soon as a new one comes out, use your favorite podcasting software (iTunes, Downcast, etc) and subscribe to our podcast feed. If you’re an Apple user, here’s the link in iTunes.
