BrewCrate Seeks to Kickstart Homebrewers
An interesting new homebrewing product launched today under the banner of BrewCrate.
BrewCrate is a subscription service that sends ingredients and instructions to create a homebrewed one gallon batch of beer to your door each month. Subscribers are billed an economical $20 per batch.
BrewCrate also offers a supply kit for $50 that includes a fermenter and everything the novice brewer needs to get started. For the initial group of signups, they’re offering a 30% discount by providing the starter supplies and first three ingredient kits for $75.
Not coincidentally, they’ve timed their launch perfectly to coincide with the holiday shopping rush. With prices this competitive, they’re positioning themselves to capture the new homebrewer market currently dominated by the likes of Mr. Beer.
The first few recipes are planned to be a brown ale, a spiced winter warmer, and a milk stout with an IPA to follow in the spring.
