Affligem Blond

Affligem Blond is a Belgian Pale Ale. I’m surprised by the 7% ABV on this, about as high as you can go before it becomes a “Strong” Pale Ale. Not exactly sessionable but well worth the price of admission! This is really light and easy to drink, but still has a lot of flavor. Nicely bready and fruity with bits of banana and lemon peel. Big pronounced yeast profile as well. I’m not sure why I hadn’t picked this up before now? I guess it got a bit lost in the import section, and although I like the design it does have a typical German/Belgian style label that screams “Stale Imported Lager!!!” at a glance.
