Red Brick Beard Envy

Red Brick Beard Envy is an American Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels. This is seriously one of the ugliest labels ever, not sure what these are thinking with the art sometimes. Well I guess it’s what’s inside that counts… The beer smells nice, sweet malt and sweet bourbon. The taste starts sweet with a lot of dark caramel and a bit of nuttiness mixing with a strong dose of bourbon. The finish is sadly a bit harsh and medicinal, it’s really unfortunate since this is a really solid beer otherwise.
