Evil Twin The Porthole

Evil Twin The Porthole is a Saison/Farmhouse Ale. This collaboration, with Micah Melton from the Aviary Bar, attempts to emulate their “blueberry” cocktail of the same name.

Getting a hint of blueberry on the nose along with a blast of caramel and candi sugar. The taste has little to no blueberry in it, but I am enjoying this sweet and moderately funky saison. Oh yeah, the yeast is strong with this one which is creating a rather intense aftertaste.

Took a bit of a chance on this bottle and it certainly paid off. Although I have no idea if this is a good imitation of the original cocktail, it is well worth your time if you are a fan of the sasion in general.
