Fantôme Printemps Saison

Fantôme Printemps Saison comes in a capped and corked 750 ml bottle, lot aj 13 with a best by of 2018.

Thanks to the rotten green bottle I’m getting that blast of skunk you’d expect from any other green bottle imported lager. Thankfully the skunkiness fades away after pouring, and I get some strong aromas of clove and what I keep thinking of as curry powder. The taste is pretty complex, both the clove and the “curry powder” are there, coming together to create a very floral like taste. I’m also getting some pear, apple and a lot of flavor from a potent yeast strain. The finish is dry, almost leathery.

This isn’t a particularly funky sasion, but it is crazy tasty. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a beer grow on me like this one did. I want this bottle to pour forever!
