Funkwerks Dark Prophet

Funkwerks Dark Prophet is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale partially aged in bourbon barrels.

The smell of this is divine, fantastic combo bourbon and dark fruits that I keep diving my nose into. The taste has a lot of bourbon and vanilla upfront. This is followed by some sweet dark cherries and a good bit of that yeast funkiness Funkwerks is known for.

So far from being true to style, but this is an fantastic take on the Belgian Strong Dark Ale in my opinion. All of those out of place characteristics come together to create something special. Thanks for sharing Lee!
