Prairie Artisan Ales Puncheon

Prairie Artisan Ales Puncheon is a Saison/Farmhouse Ale. I have yet to pick up anything from these guys that is less than excellent, this Oak Barrel Aged Saison is no different.

Very classic Saison aroma, sweet and yeasty with a bit of spice and slightly fruity. The oak barrel comes out in the taste but it in no way dominates or creates an overly dry beer. I’m getting notes of pears and hay, also a slight bit of sweet vanilla.

Without a doubt this is becoming one of my new favorite breweries, I only wish I could get my hand on this regularly!
