Southbound Secrets Shared
Southbound Secrets Shared is Wild IPA that utilizes Brettanomyces. Got to try this on draft at Green Truck Pub during Savannah Craft Beer Week 2014.
This is a pretty pour, a good bit lighter than the year round Hop’lin. I really like how the hop bitterness is a bit less intense as compared to Hop’lin too, much more balance. The taste starts a bit sweet before just a little funkiness and tartness comes nicely into play on the taste. The Brett at this point isn’t too potent, for now this is much more IPA than Wild Ale but that could change with age. Not sure if the folks at Southbound have any plans to cellar this for later or not though.
This may very well be my favorite Southbound offering to date. Well done!
