Burnt Hickory We’re Desperate: An Ale For X is an American IPA, the 2014 version of this is a Citra Wet Hop IPA.

I was pretty excited to see this on the tap list for our Big Sexy Beer Night at Your Pie, and it did not disappoint. Big intense citra hop aroma, waves of orange and grapefruit on the nose. The taste brings even more big orange with a touch of caramel malt. A nice long bitter finish brings in some balance to the sweeter elements of this IPA.

I tend to find Fresh or Wet hop IPA’s a bit too mild for my tastes sometimes, but this one really brings the flavor.
