Service Brewing Ground Pounder
Service Brewing Ground Pounder is an American Pale Ale. It isn’t any secret that I am partial to the more intense and “sought after” beers of the craft beer world. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I don’t need a few great everyday session beers to stock in my fridge as well.
I really like this beer quite a bit, which is kind of surprising for a pale ale. Its highlight is a fantastic malt profile, which is a consistent theme I am getting from Service Brewing in general. The solid malt base has a good bit of nuttiness that complimented by an aggressive hop bitterness on the finish. Not fancy in any way, but I don’t think that was the goal with this beer. This one is for pounding.
We have been been desperate for a quality session beer to call our own for a long time now, and I feel like it has finally been delivered! At a low 4.6% ABV, and packed with flavor, this is the local option Savannah needed.
