Elevation Apis IV

Elevation Apis IV is a Belgian style Quadrupel brewed with honey, bottle # 03410. We discovered after opening the bottle that although this was bought in November of 2014, it was actually bottled on October, 30 2013.

I was really surprised by the aroma on this one. There is some typical dark fruit on the nose, but there is a lot of chocolate there as well which was totally unexpected. There is a TON of complex flavors in this beer. I’m getting raisin, toffee, more chocolate, nuts and some honey drenched green apples on the finish. Apart from a slightly thinner mouth-feel than I would want, this is a complex and phenomenal Quad.
