Terrapin Moo-HooChiato
Terrapin Moo-HooChiato is variation of the popular Seasonal Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout. It’s the addition of Jittery Joe’s coffee making everyone so happy about this one. This was the first in this series to have wax that was relatively easy to get past, thanks for that!
This pours with black color that browns on the edges as it is held to the light. The smell is about how you would expect really, lots of that almost sickly sweet chocolate you get from regular Moo-Hoo mixed with strong black coffee. The taste is very well balanced, but again, no big surprise in the flavors. The taste brings Moo-Hoo’s sugary chocolate followed by strong and slightly bitter coffee. There is a nice and smooth finish with a mix of both flavors lingering behind in the aftertaste. Complex? No. Delicious? Oh yeah!!!!
I’ve had a lot of people tell me to mix Moo-Hoo and Wake-n-Bake over the past few years (but I have yet to try it), I have to imagine this is pretty close to what you get when you do that. Excellent variant, I’m glad I have another bottle for another day.
