Evil Twin Sour Bikini

Evil Twin Sour Bikini is an American Wild Ale. I have yet to try Bikini Beer which is their 2.7% ABV session IPA, but when this 3% ABV Sour Pale Ale showed up in Savannah I jumped at the chance to try it.

The appearance of this is that of grapefruit juice, with a cloudy golden yellow color. The aroma has a lot of lemon and grapefruit, and a surprising amount of dank pine hops. The taste brings in the lemon and grapefruit. This is a lot like a Berliner in mouth-feel, but this beer is much too sour to fit in that category. There is also an unexpected dry/earthy aftertaste.

A little bit surprised overall at how good this is, seemed like a true novelty beer when I grabbed one. It will feel too expensive for a 3% ABV beer, but they really do pack a ton of flavor in this “tiny” beer.
