Episode 66: Really Dirty Blonde

For lucky number 66 we’re joined by special guest Vince Becker, Beer Lead for Habersham Beverage in Savannah, GA and master-level homebrewer.

In this episode, we consumed Vince’s Domras Cup winning Braggot – Bavarian Beekeepers Delight – a Helles Bock and still mead combo. It’s a delightful rush of sweet honey and breadiness in a gorgeous pour. We also enjoyed his Dry Irish Stout.

We talked to Vince about his homebrewing setup (it’s really nice), the Savannah Brewers League, his running regimen, beer travel experiences and what it’s like to be a pro race photographer(!).

We also reviewed Craft Brew Races Savannah’s inaugural event and had lots of fun (but actually relevant) diversions.

The grand tasting was Sierra Nevada’s Jack & Ken’s 30th Anniversary, a 4+ year old Black Barleywine.
