Prairie Artisan Ales Limo Tint
Prairie Artisan Limo Tint is a Milk/Sweet Stout aged on chocolate. 5.65% ABV.
This pours basically pitch black with a nice tan head that recedes to just a little ring around the glass before long. Lots of chocolate on the nose, but I am also getting some nice roasted malt aroma and sweet cream. The taste is bringing the chocolate as well, no false advertising here. It comes across more like a tootsie roll rather than a milk chocolate bar. Mixing with all that chocolate is some mild roasted malts, lactose and just the slightest hint of coffee & cream. This stout is really a bit thin, watery really, but I feel like the flavor does make up for that for the most part.
Not nearly as stunning as some other Prairie stouts, but Limo Tint was still well worth it for me.
