The Brewer’s Art Birdhouse Pale Ale

The Brewer’s Art Birdhouse is an American Pale Ale. 5% ABV. The can states this is “In Honor Of Icterus Galbura”, or the Baltimore Orioles, Play Ball!! The can is very well designed, featuring the orange black and white colors of their hometown team, subtle baseball diamonds all over the can. Outstanding packaging.

This beer pours a bit hazy but with a very nice golden orange color, nice off white head. The aroma is sweet and a bit bready with a good bit of hops as well. Almost like a very mild DFH 90 Minute. The taste is good if not spectacular, solid cracker malt, with a little hop bitterness to balance. Flavorful but not so heavy that you can’t have a few during the ballgame, You don’t even have to be a Baltimore Orioles fan.
