Stone 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA
Stone 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA is an American Double/ Imperial IPA that contains all Australian hops (Ella, Galaxy, Topaz and Vic Secret) as well as an Australian malt called Fairview. It come in a 8.7% ABV.
This pours with a nice golden/orange color and a pretty white head. The aroma is intense, dank and resinous with notes of tropical fruit and peaches. This is one hop bomb that delivers one blow after another to the mouth. Resinous pine, green onion, grapefruit, sweet orange and black pepper is all wrapped up inside a lovely sweet malt that becomes evident on the finish. The final piece to the puzzle is buzzing hop tingle that lingers in the aftertaste.
It’s a rare occasion that I don’t not enjoy a Stone IPA, and this is not one of those times. I really love the balance between the dank and the sweet that has me rather happy with this. Can hardly wait to see how big the 20 year celebration will be!!!
