Wild Heaven Eschaton
Wild Heaven Eschaton is a Belgian style Quadrupel aged on Pinot Noir oak chips, 10.5% ABV.
This pours with a nice ruby red color but the head fades rather quickly. I’m getting an odd (but pleasant) combination of raisin, cherry and red wine on the nose. The taste brings in some big sweet malts, rhubarb, tart red wine, a nice spiciness, and an intense finish that is best described as grossly fermented raisins. The aftertaste is maybe the best part of this beer, a ton of raisins and figs are left in the mouth long after the beer is gone.
I am on the fence with this beer…
