Bell’s Best Brown
Bell’s Best Brown is an English-style Brown Ale, 5.8% ABV. I’ve been making an effort to learn to appreciate the Brown Ale a bit more this Fall, and I do remember enjoying this one the few times I’ve had it.
This beer pours with a nice brown color with a big caramel color when held to the light. The aroma is fairly light, sweet and a bit nutty with a hintĀ of rich chocolate. Big malt richness on the taste, some good breadiness, hints of caramel and some sweet nuts. I’m getting the slightest hop bite on the finish as well.
Without a doubt this goes on my list of Brown Ales I would actually but a six pack of. Can’t say itĀ converted into a big fan of the style, but this is an incredibly solid beer.
