Boulevard Collaboration #5 – Tropical Pale Ale
This pours with a slightly cloudy, kind of grey orange color. Nice head on top to start that fades to a pleasant ring before too long. The aroma is fantastic if you enjoy big fruit forward ales like I do. I’m smelling ripe passion fruit and oranges and a hint of sweet grain. A bit more tart than sweet in the taste, with flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit, and sweet lemon. This is definitely a pale ale as well, not nearly hoppy and bitter enough to be thought of as an IPA in spite of the impressive list of hops used. (Mosaic, Citra, Lemondrop and Azacca)
Very enjoyable, the only thing stopping me from knocking back several of these is the 7.2% ABV.
