Brooklyn Defender IPA

Brooklyn Defender is an American IPA, 6.7% ABV. This Red IPA is the official beer of New York Comic Con.

The beer pours with lovely red color, a nice off white head that lingers slightly. The aroma is exceptionally juicy and fruity with notes of pine and earthy red malts. The taste is a bit of a let down from the aroma, with the earthy malts really dominating the taste. Some decent grapefruit and just a hint of pine hop flavor come out as well.

A pretty good beer overall, I enjoy a good Red IPA and that is exactly what this is.
