Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Tropical IPA

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Tropical IPA is an American IPA, 6.7%. Bottled on 12/09/15 and opened on 02/01/16.

This is a pleasant looking beer with a super clear golden color that has some serious orange highlights, a big fluffy white head on top. I’m getting a lot of grapefruit on the nose, enough to rival some of the grapefruit IPA’s I’ve been reviewing lately. A hint of sweet caramel and biscuit is also on the nose. Tasting a nice amount of sweet and bitter tropical fruit; grapefruit, orange, a little mango and maybe some un-ripe pineapple. Bitter on the finish with just a hint of pine coming through.

I feel like there are some recent “Tropical” IPA’s that I’ve liked better, but this still isn’t something to shy away from. I would be more than happy knocking back a few of this over the weekend!
