Unibroue La Fin Du Monde

Unibroue La Fin Du Monde is a Belgian-style Tripel, 9% ABV, best by date is 10-15-18.

This beer pours with a light golden color with some strong yellow tones, the head was thin and then gone after just a few seconds. Lightly sweet and fruity on the nose with notes of light honey and banana. This Tripel is bright with carbonation and it prickles the tongue immediately. The flavor profile is sweet up-front with strong notes of bananas, oranges and honey. This taste turns spicy and peppery which I will assume is coming from the yeast. The 9% ABV is fairly well hidden in the taste, not a trait I often find in the style.

It has taken me a while to get into Tripels in general, but I enjoyed this one immediately when I first had it several years ago. Quite frankly is was, and still is, one of the better Tripels I’ve had.
