Green Flash Jibe Session IPA
Green Flash Jibe Session IPA comes in at a super low 4% ABV and has a best by date of 07/27/16, opened on 05/24/16. Brewed with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops.
The pour seems to be a crystal clear golden color, but some closer inspection reveals a good bit of very fine particles floating in the glass. The head faded very quickly and is completely gone to nothing within a minute or two. On the nose is a good dose of pine and floral hop notes, maybe just a hint of citrus as well. A little dry cracker malt breaks through the hops in the aroma after a little warming. The taste is fairly typical for the Session IPA style; tasting a bit of earthiness, pine and some non-distinct citrus notes. The feel is rather dry overall with that cracker malt once again forcing it’s way through the hops in the aftertaste.
This is a solid Session beer even if it doesn’t exactly stand out from the crowd. The cans are a plus, I always like to see a low ABV beer available in cans!
