Hi-Wire Brewing Gose

Hi-Wire Brewing Gose is brewed with Pink Himalayan salt, coriander and a house Lacto strain, 4.2% ABV. Canned on 7/7/16, opened on 8/27/16. Looks like a number of late summer season Gose-style Ales have been hitting our market, which is great for us since it is still full on summer here!

This pours with a mostly clear golden yellow color and a head that was gone before I got the glass on the counter. Outstanding classic Gose like aroma with strong notes of lime, salt, a bit of grain and a general tartness as well. Saltiness and a lemon tartness hit the palate upfront making me think I am about to be taken on a sour ride. Things take a more mellow turn though, with a milder grainy flavor that is surprisingly sweet. I feel like more lingering saltiness would have been great for my overall enjoyment of the beer.

Nothing to shy away from here, if you enjoy a solid Gose you should dig this one.
