Uinta Flamingose
Uinta Flamingose is a Gose brewed with pineapple, salt and coriander; no ABV listed on the label. Best by date of 10/28/16… I think. The month and day are easy to read, but the year has printed into what looks like some unknown numeral.
The beer pours with dull and cloudy yellow/gold/brown color. Not a good looking beer at all, but on the plus side this has the best and longest lasting head I have ever seen on a Gose. A bit earthy and fruity on the nose with notes of pineapple and papaya, kind of odd but not terrible. The addition of the pineapple to this beer (I will assume this base to this beer is Ready Set Gose) brings some nice sweetness and tartness. There is certainly some pineapple flavor, but it isn’t too intense or sweet. Moderately tart overall with some solid saltiness on the finish.
I’m not going to lie, I have had better, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy this beer. It also did pair really well with the spicy/garlicky/gingery kim chi I was eating just before opening this!
