Avery El Gose
Avery El Gose is brewed with lime and sea salt, 4.5% ABV. It is a little hard to read the canning date, not sure if it is 06/24/16, or 08/24/16. I do know it was opened on 09/30/16.
This beer looks just like a Gose should, it is a nice and hazy yellow color with some subtle gold highlights. The head came on strong with the pour, but then fades to nothing shortly thereafter. Not a huge aroma, but I am getting a squeeze of the lime, a little grain and some saltiness on the nose. This definitely has lime in it, I am tasting it right away. Strong on the salt with this Gose as well. I would say that this beer is mildly tart, but with all the lime flavor I’m not really finding that to be a drawback. If they wanted to bring a margarita element into this one, they were rather successful.
I could certainly see myself picking this up again. It was fun and refreshing, a nice pick up with the Summer heat still hanging on here in the South.
