Cahaba Oka Uba IPA
Cahaba Oka Uba IPA has no ABV printed on the can, packaged on 09/14/16, opened on 10/22/16. This is the first drops of beer I’ve had from these guys. Thanks to Raymond for the can!
This IPA pours with a rich golden color with some minor orange and yellow highlights, and a good looking bone white head that retains quite well. Not a pungent aroma, but it does have some nice amount sweet malt and some mild pine. I immediately taste a big amount of sticky resinous pine on the taste, a bit onion like. Those hops are complimented by a touch of orange and some caramel malt as well. Moderately bitter with spot on carbonation.
Oka Uba doesn’t have my ideal IPA taste profile, and a little more on the nose would have been nice, but this is a solid brew that is worth a try.
