157: Just Smokin’ Malts
If this is your first time listening to the show, this is a mini-episode, where we drink one beer and talk about a single subject. The previous episode and the next episode are full episodes, where we also talk about homebrewing and running in addition to reviewing a regular release and an amazing, usually rare beer.
Raymond’s back! And, we get a special text from our “good friend” Mikee.
Episode Focus: Smoked Beers
On this episode we drank and discussed Schlafly Smoked Stout.
According to Wikipedia, smoked beers are a beer style with a distinctive smoke flavor imparted by using malted barley dried over an open flame. Not all smoked beers are necessarily considered rauchbiers, but that’s probably the most well-known genre of smoked beers.
Other Smoked Beers that have been reviewed on Brew / Drink / Run include:
Sweetwater Dank Tank Pulled Porter
Wild Heaven Funkenrauch
The Bruery Smoking Wood
