Red Hare Ain’t That A Peach
Red Hare Ain’t That A Peach is a Berliner Weissbier brewed with peaches. No ABV listed, best by date of 08/10/17.
The beer pours with hazy yellow color with some orange highlights, it reminds me of a dark lemonade kind of appearance. The off white head was big and plentiful to start, but it does fade all the way away after a few minutes. A massive amount of peach hits the nose immediately. Although the aroma is impressive, it is one of the things I personally dislike about most peach forward beers. The taste I like much more. An initial strong and lingering tartness is joined by sweet peaches. The fruit has the kind of sweetness you get in a peach cobbler as opposed to the peach flesh alone. The finish is tart with that distinct earthy flavor you get from the skin of a peach.
If you are into peaches you’re really going to like this well crafted Berliner.
