Brew Beer. Drink Beer. Run it off.

In a nutshell, that’s what we do at BDR. We’re avid homebrewers and just plain ‘ol fans of good beer. Being men of a certain age, our metabolisms won’t let us consume to our heart’s intent without gaining extra baggage around the waist. To combat the only downside of our beloved beer consumption, we’ve turned to running to balance the scales.

Why Beer?

With so many things that taste so good but aren’t good for you, why turn to beer? Honestly, if you have to ask that question you’ve come to the wrong place. Good beer makes everything better.

Why Running?

Now this is an interesting question. Good job. In short, running is easy. You don’t have to join a gym or buy a bunch of fancy equipment. You don’t need to assemble a team or carve out time every Saturday. You compete with yourself for personal time records, for distance goals, to get out of bed at the crack of dawn.

Drinking beer adds a bunch of extra calories into your diet. Running burns calories. It’s simple math. We run so we can drink.
