Hill Farmstead & Cigar City Brewing Nor

A collaboration between Hill Farmstead & Cigar City Brewing Nor is an American Imperial/Double IPA. I was pleased to see this being offered at the Cigar City tasting room and jumped at the chance to try it. From the Hill Farmstead Website: Brewed with rice and and an abundance of worldly hops. 8.7% ABV. Rice??!!? I was pretty shocked to read that, didn’t get any impressions that rice was involved. BIG hops, yeah this beer is a bit of a palate wrecker. Light sweet malts are followed by intense resinous pine. The finish is nicely sweet with tropical fruit flavors. This is a very good DIPA!
