The Bruery Mother Funker
A Sour Blonde Ale aged in oak barrels, The Bruery Mother Funker is a part of their Provisions Series. Both very sweet and very sour. Tart sour apple that becomes more of a sour lemon flavor as it warms. Lots of vinegar sourness along with a simple refined sugar like sweetness. Surprisingly not very funky but it does have a mild yeast flavor. I’m not getting much of anything from the oak barrels, but there is a ton of acidity which is starting to do a number on my stomach. Overall this was a very good sour that I was very glad to try (again thanks Kevin!), but probably something I wouldn’t work that hard drink again.
