COAST Event Horizon

COAST Event Horizon is an American Black Ale/IPA. This is a very hard style to pull off, I feel that the brewer really needs to hit that balance between the darker flavors and IPA hop flavors. That being said I think COAST did a great job here. Roasted (even slightly charred) malts with a hint of coffee are balanced by big pine and grapefruit hops. If anything this is a little bit hop dominate, but I think both flavor profiles are well represented.
